Week of October 19th-22nd
First I was sick then two weeks without internets! Blerg! Well this week we are studying the letter Ss and learning about action verbs! Act them out with your kiddos! In math we took our test last week and we are moving on to Unit 2! The numbers 6-10 and more shapes will be our focus.  In science  we are learning what it means to be a scientist!

Week of September 28th-October 1st
So sorry for the lack of a post last week. I was ill, as most of you know, and I went to bed around 7 every night last week! I am better now and the posts will continue.

This week, in Reading, we are working on our mastery of Nouns as words that describe people and places. We will also learn and apply our knowledge about labeling pictures. The kiddos have (will) painted a picture of a place they want to go in the art center last week and this week they will add their labels.

In math we are hashing out the concepts of more and less, and addition and subtraction with numbers 1-5.

I will add technology this week during center time (this will not occur every week). The focus will be on handwriting and adjectives.

Next month our dramatic play center will change into the theater! We will have puppet shows and dress up!

As we explored families, during Reading, the playhouse was (and still is) a huge success! The kiddos made Batman the dad and they all got to color and old school clothes pin as their family member.

Check out the wish list link for our class needs! Thank you :)

Week of September 14th
This week we are starting our Reading Curriculum. We are reading and learning all about families! We will be focusing on the nouns that describe the people found in families, and the letters Kk-Oo.

In math this week, we will be drawing scenarios representing the numbers 2-5. The kiddos will be creating their own number book.

September 6th
This week we will be Filling Buckets and beginning our math curriculum. Math homework will be added in a week or so. We will also continue our introduction to Reading this week and begin lesson 1 next week.

Be on the lookout for the weekly class newsletter. It will be sent home every Monday with information about homework for the week.

September 2nd
First Day of School crowns! What an adorable class I have!

Guess WHO!!!!

Aug 31st, 2015

I am so excited about all of my new WONDERFUL scholars! We had a great day creating a friendship snack, making crowns, practicing the letters A and B, and coloring our new It's Time for Kindergarten books. We also took some very funny pictures of ourselves. Look back soon for a posting of said pics!

Tomorrow we will be finding out what happens When You Give  A Moose a Muffin! And practicing the letters C and D.

Thank you to all of the amazing parents and guardians for preparing your kiddos for a year full of learning and growth!
